blackShed Gallery

My solo show ‘Portrait of the A21’ is coming to blackShed Gallery, Robertsbridge, East Sussex, 9 May - 7 June.

See the A21 as you’ve never seen it before! Love it or loathe it or just tolerate it, the A21 is a familiar traffic-filled feature of this part of the world. But I'll let you into a secret - it’s also full of wild things that call it home. Come and meet some of them on the walls of this gallery which is conveniently situated right by the A21 itself.

I’ll have a series of landscapes which were painted outside on the roadside, launching new prints, roadsigns and exclusive A21 goodies. You won’t want to miss it. No excuse for you city-dwellers either, my show is open for a whopping 5 weekends and is the perfect day out from London: an hour on the train then a 20 minute walk through the gorgeous historic village and down a footpath to the gallery. Make it a circular walk and drop into one of the lovely local pubs or bakery on the way. Or if you’re driving - pick up the A21 in London and just keep going! The perfect day out at just the time of year when you’re looking for one. Don’t let the rural location fool you: blackShed is a well known home of quirky contemporary art and community happenings. Plus there’ll be lots of events - family art, a conservation gathering and botanical walks with Plantlife - check the blackShed Gallery website for updates. Save the date!
