I don’t often get visitors when I’m painting by the roadside but Martha Kearney and producer Emma Campbell joined me beside the A21on a glorious April day to talk about the joys of road verges. They also talked to Matt Pitts of Plantlife about the ecological importance of verges and joined a wildflower planting session in my village of Wadhurst.
