Slow (A26 Field Bindweed at Tarring Neville)
Tarring Neville is a hamlet on the main road into Newhaven, East Sussex. There’s some lovely wild plants on the wide verge in an area that was probably once common land for grazing. Beautiful pink-blushed field bindweed creeps right on to the dusty tarmac. I saw it flowering cheerfully during some roadworks, being baked in the afternoon sun inches from thundering HGVs rushing to the ferry terminal.
